The article stated that:
"Business Today further inquired about sixteen companies mentioned by Peter Bengtsen, including Merida Industry Co., Ltd., U.D. Electronic Corp., and Topview Optronics Corporation. Eight companies have decided to refund recruitment fees and implement a ‘zero Placement fee policy,’actively responding to the call for fair labor practices. However, about 30% of the companies remain unalert and indifferent."
In the table on page 87, Hantic was listed as a company that “did not respond or did not provide a positive response regarding improvement.”
Hantic hereby makes the following clarifications:
1. Correction of the Report: Upon publication of the article, Hantic immediately contacted Business Today to request a correction. Following this communication, the media outlet has updated the electronic version of the article, revising Hantic’s table entry to “Improvement Implemented.”
2. Implementation of Zero Placement Fee Policy: Since September 2024, Hantic has fully implemented its Zero placement Fee Policy, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair and responsible labor practices. 3. Independence of the Report: The report in question was independently written by the media outlet and was neither issued nor authorized by Hantic.
